our engagement party, and my shower and the wedding
i was just looking at pictures - so many great memories of being engaged it was so much fun being a bride it's not that i miss it BUT i don't think there was any other time in my life that i felt so 'princessy'
it was just such a great time and DH and I were so excited.....there were so many things to look foward to - and so much excitement, so many parties, just a lot of fun and good memories!
i can't wait to see our wedding video! that is going to be really nostalgic hahahaha.....
in the meantime i really want a house - i think we might be more excited about that then the wedding its something we've been wanting for so long! and we can't wait to move - its going to be crazy - exciting and scary and everything new - its going to be nuts when it actually happens
what do you miss about being engaged? if anything? and what are you looking foward to?

I hear ya! I miss the excitement and the anticipation. DH and I had been together for almost 9 years before he proposed. It was exciting to experience the next step in our relationship. Now we've been together for 11 years and I look forward to having children. I definitely miss the fun of planning and enjoying being a bride though.

I miss my wedding as well. On our honeymoon DH and I kept saying how fun it was and we want to do it all over again and how we miss it. I think it's because we planned for 2 years and then it was all over in a day!!! It was surreal and I felt like on top of the world that day! It was great.
My shower I miss and want to do again only because I was pissed at MIL for calling my FIL to come and pick up the gifts once I finished opening them ( we still had an hour left and the cake wasn't even served and ppl were leaving bec of her) and then she had the nerve to complain about how she only had one table worth of family at my shower. DH spoke/yelled at her for that though. Can you tell I am bitter
Anyway....yes my mom said it best to me...we enjoyed that time and planning and having the attention on us that whole day but I should be jealous or sad because now we have so many more life challenges and experiences to go through such as buying a house, getting pregnant, having children and doing what we want as a family. And it's true I cannot wait to have babies!!!!!! I want that more than a house haha. But i can't wait until that process start's as well.

i really enjoyed it all - its not that i'm sad it is over - but just looking back at it all i'm like WOW i really enjoyed myself - it was such a great time.....the proposal was awesome, the ring OMG , then the engagement party, and booking the RH, and planning, and even registering was so much fun, and then my shower was awesome, and then the wedding, it was all so much fun.....we did so much in that year and a half and it was really good times!
i can't wait to make more good memories!
i think the next most exciting thing is getting preggers - but we'll wait awhile for that one!

i miss everything about the process... as nuts as it sounds i miss the running around and all that b/c i know that in the end it was all worth it and it was the most amazing day in my life..... i would relive the day b/4 my wedding and my wedding day over and over again b/c i loved the feeling i had the day b/4 while getting my nails done and all that fun stuff with my family.
The day of, as you all know, is the most amazing day ever and who wouldnt want to relive that over and over again?!

yes! some people don't enjoy the planning as much - but for me - i really enjoyed it - there were like silly stressful things here and there but overall it was fun and even DH enjoyed a lot of it - i'll never forget how excited he was when he found his suit for the wedding, he was with his dad and his mom and i met up with them and him and his dad were so excited about this suit and when he tried it on i was like OMG - he looked so hot! .....
i have so many little memories of things that happened during planning that were so much fun - and all the parties we got to have were all so much fun! we never get to have parties again - what a bummer!
so its the being engaged i miss - not even so much the wedding day - although i loved our wedding day it was the whole process that gave us such awesome memories

I miss the whole 'being engaged' Exactly what you said. Its so exciting and you get to do all these things.
Bachlorette party shower engagement party The wedding and just the excitement we both had that we were getting married.
Its so much fun.
Although now we have other things to be exicted about. Buying a house, decorating, hosting holidays and partys. Having children!!
Its fun to be a newlywed too!!

i miss it to, as stressful as it was it was worth it in the end.
I get really depressed sometimes and very sad when i see something that reminds me of wedding planning and how i will never get that feeling back again.
