Re: i need baby registry help..
Lots of times changing tables double as a dresser. I've seen changing tables that are high enough to lay the changing pad on and it has two or three drawers underneath it. It really depends on what furniture you want. Most times people don't register for furniture for the baby like a crib, dresser, etc. . . .

not unless you are going to use the dresser underneath.
I had one with Gabe and it was SUCH a waste of space! It was more comfortable for me to use the bed anyway, so thats what I did. I will never get another one.

of course it depends but i think it is good for organization. they usually have drawers and shelves that can be used for clothes, diapers, lotions, blankets etc. if you dont have much space i guess its not a total necessity but i know that i used my changing table as a dresser till i was like 12. i put my dolls and stuff on top of it. i recall that my parents had one that had a top the came off and the bottom was a dresser. My youngest brother still has that dresser in his bedroom at my parents house. Our friends have this portable changing mat thing that folds up. It was really useful - they brought it here with their 7 month old twins and used it a few times.

I agree. Mine can be used for years after the kids because you can just put things where the changing pad is now. I didn't register for my furniture. My parents helped pay for ours.

I don't think you really need one but I registered for one for the storage aspect as well as the changing table And when I am in the baby's room I will definitely need the changing table. Mine looks similar to this one:

This is similar to what we are getting, too. I think something like this makes sense, a straight up changing table did not make sense to me.
