Anyone in the graphic design/advertising career that knows what size a typical billboard is?
I'm in graphic design & I'm working on a senior project and I have no clue what size to do and I have to start it tonight!

Im not in graphic designing but according to this the typical billboards size are 14 by 48 feet, 12 by 24 feet (30-sheet) and 5 by 11 feet (8-sheet). HTH!
as a fellow graphic artist...just curious...how do you make art for something that BIG? do you work to size or use software to blow it up that big...i always wondered!! haha

I go to a new document do the actual size I'm supposed to do.... but Photoshop or any program for that matter, will scale it down for you so you can view it all together. Basically, your viewing a small version......

holy crap you must have a super duper processor to work that large! haha...or even to get Photos that are high enough resolution to be printed that big!! Thanks for sharing...i always love learning more!!

lol thanks...yah thats the small problem i have alot...when i work with a document that big, the pictures are alot smaller & become blurry!
mrsbartontobe is amazing Graphic designer so she'll be helping me!!!!

just tried making a document huge in Illustrator & it only lets me make it 227' wide haha..oh well..i'll stick to my small projects and send you the billboard designs...haha...say Hi to Rosella for me

lol ok. yeah im nervous about stuff thatbig, too. but its for senior project...im gunna have to do alot of stuff thats really large and present it to all the faculty!
