I need medical advice....

So, I have been EXCESSIVELY thirsty for about a week and a half now... maybe a little longer.. like last night I drank 3 bottles of water throughout the course of the night.. I am peeing every half hour so I am not retaining any of it, but I am parched.. like I have cotton mouth 24/7 parched..

I just had bloodwork done and my sugar came back a little high, but nothing to worry about..

I have been working out lately and I started in mid january.. could that have done it?? bc this did start within 1-2 weeks ago...

I am freaking out... I don't want to drown my body but I am sooooooo thristy...

Any advice?? and PS.. totally not dehydrated!!

Hmmmmmmmm

If you're drinking and urinating a lot more than usual - my first guess would be diabetes...but since your sugar is fine then it's probably not that. However, when did you have your blood work done? Before you started getting thirsty? How high was it? Any abdominal pain? Any other symptoms/complaints?

I have had some heartburn lately that even though I am taking acid pills in the morning isn't helping.. I am actually starting to get some pains in the top of my stomach.. so that kinda worried me.. Should I make an appointment with my GI dr?

Hey girly. Sorry for the late reply. We went out with a bunch of friends for DH's birthday and got home very late

So here is what I think: the heartburn might be an ulcer and your GI can take care of that. However, it's probably not related to the drinking and urination and for that - I think you should get blood work done again to test for diabetes.

Here are some early sign/symptoms:
Increased thirst
Increased hunger (especially after eating)
Dry mouth
Frequent urination
Unexplained weight loss (even though you are eating and feel hungry)
Fatigue (weak, tired feeling)
Blurred vision
Headaches

symptoms of type 2 diabetes after many years:
Slow-healing sores or cuts
Itching of the skin (usually around the vaginal or groin area)
Frequent yeast infections
Recent weight gain
Velvety dark skin changes of the neck, armpit and groin, called acanthosis nigricans
Numbness and tingling of the hands and feet
Decreased vision

It's probably nothing....I pee ALL the time and I don't have diabetes....but if you're concerned - get blood work for diabetes done and take it from there.

Good Luck!

I would have my doctor do a whole bloodwork update and update your medical history by asking you questions. So they check to see what is going on.

Could also be nothing - might just be your working out a bit and your body needs to hydrate.

look for more signs.
The blood work should help from your Dr.
