i need to ask a question of former east wind estate brides?
i am getting married there on the 29th... they told me there was no use for the seating cards(we just paid for them and got the calligraphy done). they told us they seat everyone. is that true?

I'm not an east wind bride, but I've been to three weddings there. There were no placecards, they seat the guests.

They recommend seating cards if you have over 175 guests. I had about 150 guests and I didn't need them. They either personally walk the guest to the table or tell them what table they are at. Not one complained to me or my mother that they found this to be a pain. Don't worry about it. You'll be hanging out in the bridal suite....EAT something during the cocktail hour. you will be so busy going around to the tables saying Hi to your guests you''ll be lucky if you get a bit to eat during the reception!

I got married there in July - I had about 150 guests and used seating cards.
Figured it would be easier for some people to know when they came in where they would be seating. And I had people at the doors incase they didnt know / or have their cards to escorte them to their table.
Everything worked out fine. If you want to use them - use them. Its upto you

We didn't use seating cards. You don't need to but if you already have them made why not. I personally like the fact they hand seated our guests. I made them a list on excel and printed several copies and it worked out great!

I got married there in July. I had about 190 guests. I gave them a typed list of all the guests in alphabetical order. I did on Excel. I put the last name, first name, # of guests, table #. Everyone was seated and there were no problems. My matron D was Kathy, she was GREAT!
