I need your help Newlyweds!!!!

First of all congrats to everyone!

I am trying to target those brides that had a ceremony as opposed to a full mass at church.

What was the main differences and how long was the whole thing from beginning to end?

I apologize in advance if I choose the wrong forum for this question but I figured who better to ask then those who already did it!

THANKS!!!!

Re: I need your help Newlyweds!!!!

I just had the ceremony about 30 - 35 minutes as opposed to a full mass that runs about 60 - 70 minutes.

The only difference is during the ful mass you have communion.

Re: I need your help Newlyweds!!!!

We had the ceremony only and it was like 20 minutes I think. Everyone complimented us on how short and sweet it was. Obviously, we had a not very religious group who were happy to see the ceremony more about us than about Catholic tradition so it varies for everyone.

The difference in our ceremony vs. others were:
- no bible readings (we did a song and the hands reading instead so I dont think this saved time per say)
- no gospel
- no communion
- no homily
- no prayer of the faithful

I think ours was about 25-30 minutes.. we had communion, just the two of us while a song wasa playing after we lit the unity candle. (We are not catholic.)

Re: I need your help Newlyweds!!!!

I had a church ceremony only, about 40 minutes. It was really nice, the only part we didn't have was the communion. The priest's homily went longer than I thought it would
