I started a post on the Vendor board about the 'junK' mailings

I am getting tons of direct mail pieces letting me know about 'great' wedding specials/deals. Since I am already married it is a plain waste of money to send these to me. If you also hate getting this type of mail, please let the vendors know it. I think LIW should mark us 'married' so the vendors do not solicate our business.

did you just start gettingit? I haven't seen anything in such a long time and then all of a sudden I have crap pouring in....weird...maybe it has to do with me giving LIweddings my name and address at the last gettogether.....

I'm still so mad that I gave out my info foolishly. I've been receiving email and regular mail for 2 weeks now

It is a complete waste since I no longer need a limo or florist!

mine mysteriously stopped after my post on the bride board.

If you email LI Weddings, they'll take you off the list.

I started getting them too after registering for the $1K giveaway. I responded to one of hte vendors telling them I am already married and they told me that LIW gave them a list of people requesting info and my name was on it.

My email has not been bombarded but my home mail has been, giving me steals and deals, its their dime, I just trash it.

I guess I am the lucky one as I don’t get email or snail mail with wedding related info. There must be a way no to, as I don’t. And I am not complaining….

I don't want to be rude to the vendors, b/c they are only doing their job, butI don't want to wate anyones time.

you can forum mail LI Weddings. They'll take you off the list, at least for the future vendors.

My emails also mysteriously started shortly after lisat's post but now I am getting regular mail. I got three things yesterday. I never got mail like this when I was engaged. I had been so careful not to give out my address...then stupid me signs up for the contest and bingo. I throw it all away do not even open it. It is such a waste and annoys me.

It seems like one of the companies is trying to do just that. Hopefully the junk mail will stop soon!

Look at it this way ladies, LIW most likely gets paid on the number of names and addresses they are able to sell. By taking your names off the list you are reducing how much money they can make. Considering we don't pay for this service, I'd like to support them any way I can. So if that means getting some junk mail, and looking it over to see if maybe a friend would be interested, I have no objections...
