I still cant find a Suffolk OBGYN?

I Never thought choosing an OBGYN could be so stressful. Me and Dh want to start trying this summer for a baby and I want to make sure we have the best care. I know I want a female doctor and one who delivers at Stony Brook Hospital. I unfortuantley have not been to a gyno in over a year . My last doctor stopped taking my insurance. I have looked up so many doctors online and I think iam driving myself crazy. lol. Can anyone PLEASE help me? Thank you so much for letting me vent.

Hey Stef!!! Ok, I finally chose 1 and the group is in E. Setauket right on 25A (just past where we used to take the dance lessons

I am seeing Dr.Jeffrey Porte, but there are 2 women there as well: Julie Welischar and Meghan something. My SIL recommended either Julie or Dr.Porte (remember she is a labor & delivery nurse at Stonybrook). I really liked them a lot!!!

My SIL's first choice is a group called the Davenport Group and she sees Dr. Droesch I think it is, but that group didn't take my insurance so I went w/ Dr.Porte's group instead. I hope that helps! I can get you their # if you want - or just look on your insurance's website and search them out. Good luck!

I used to go to Suffolk OB/BYN, and thought they were fantastic. (I went to the Port Jeff office). They deliver in St Charles, which is also a terrific hospital.

Maybe call Stony Brook and get the names of docs afficilated with them?

I was on the search for a new gynocoligist. I use to go to suffolk obgyn but I didn't feel they were personal enough. Excpecially since I have pcos and we want to ttc in the next year I wanted someone who was attentive. Suffolk obgyn have like 15 drs in the office, you always see someone different, and I really didn't like that.
Yesterday I actually went to a new obgyn. She is associated with three village women's health. They have an office in Patchogue and Setuaket. If you want their info fm me. The obgyn I saw spent a 1/2 hour talking to me, made me feel very comfortable.

I go to Dr. Aimee Leo in N. babylon. She's young, very nice and knows her stuff. She owns the practice with her father, who happened to deliver me. I am not sure if she delivers at SB though.

Her office number is 631-242-7272
