I still didnt get my marriage license UPDATE 7/11

Its been over 2 months! Anyone else experience this or should I go down/call the office?

That's a long time but wasn't there a post a while ago that there were delays? I'll see if I can find it.

I do remember seeing that but I am wondering how much longer this delay will be. When is it going to become a problem as opposed to just a delay??

Do you live in NYC?? I heard it takes longer for city residents. I am pushing a month and I am starting to get worried too!!

I live in Queens but we filed in the NYC office cause we work in the city (most convenient).

Oh I would check on that--ours was waiting when we got back from the HM a week after the wedding.

I'm getting worried too... We live in the city so we also used the Manhattan location.
I remember reading about people who physically went to the city hall and got it back that way? I would like to know more about it (which room/counter they went to, if they managed to get the actual certificate or just a certified copy....).

That would be me (really, my DH). He went to the same place we got the licence from and asked which line to wait on and waited a long time on line. He thinks he met with the same clerk who gave us our license. She looked through all the piles of mail, found ours and processed it right then and DH bought a bunch of copies. It took him around three hours to get this done. NYC only gives certified copies; there's no actual 'original' certificate.

They told him that it usually takes a month for them to process the licenses and they're running a month behind schedule. This was in early June.

Thank you for your response! Wow, 3 hours is a long time. But we may have to do that...

I'm still waiting to! We went to the NYC office out of convenience! Guess not. Lets keep each other in the loop when we receive them!

Well the priest was a little drunk at the RD its possible.
