...on anything other than the marriage certificate. I don't think I want to now.
Can I do that? Keep it changed officially but not anywhere else?

If you are talking about the Marriage Certificate where it says 'new surname'.. i think thats there for if & when you want to change it. From what I understood, it does not mean you definitely need to change it.

You're name is still officially your maiden name until you change it with SS. Just having it on your marriage certificate only means that you can start using it, but it isn't actually changed anywhere.
