I think baby dust was sent my way....

I 've never posted on this subject before, b/c I had been thinking that we would wait a while. However, we didn't want the stess of saying OK let's start trying and every month be disappointed. So we said let's not try -however, let's not (not try either) Therefore, as far as I was concerned we weren't really trying. WELL... I took a test this month and it looks like I am. (I guess?)
I told my husband in our first anniversary card. He didn't believe me. That was his response.
Anyway, this really isn't the best time for us, we will be moving in a month or so, and have so much work to do on the new house, but I guess there never really is the perfect time. We figured it would happen in about 6/8 months. I don't know why we thought that.
Well I haven't told anyone b/c I still don't really believe it. The doctor doesn't want to see me until July 17th (is that weird?) They figured I'd be 9 weeks. Did anyone go on just one of those store bought tests?
I'm starting to think that baby dust really works. There are a lot of pregnant ladies on this site.

Yes, I did use an HPT (home preg test) to see at first, before going to the Dr. (I am now 6months along). I do find it very strange that the Dr. wants to wait till July 17th to see you. I wanted an appointment the next business day (it was a first thing Monday morning). I was 4 weeks when I went. You should really go sooner, so that they can start you on prenatal vitamins asap. Did you tell them you took a positive pregnancy test ?? Thats really odd that they want you to wait so long, I would really speak up if i were you, or go to a different doctor. Its important that you start the vitamins asap, and that you ask any questions you have now. Why would they make you wait so long??

Dont worry about everything else going on in life. Things will come together for you. These are the times you will remember most in your life! My sis got pregnant with her first when she was in her last semester of completing her Masters degree (taking 4 classes at night after work) and then at the same time she planned her wedding within 3 mnths time.
She never imagined pulling through that so well, but it made her stronger !

Take it easy, dont stress yourself, educate yourself on what you should and shouldnt eat (for starters, I'll tell you - dont eat hot dogs, feta cheese, any fresh cheeses - mozzarella, brie, etc). Just rest when you can, dont let little things stress you out :)

There are several pregnancy websites out there. Surf around and find one you like, there are tons of girls out there that you can vent to, ask questions, etc etc.

If it makes you feel better, take another test, take it first thing in the morning, your HCG levels are highest in the AM. and PLEASE try to go to the doctor much sooner.

OMG! Congrats! Don't worry about feeling like its not the 'right' time. One of my friends is going into her ninth month, sold their house, have to be out a week after the baby's due, and can't be in their new house until September! She's freaking! They have to stay at her dreaded in-laws!!!
What I'm trying to say is that most people feel that way, but you will make it work!
Oh, and lucky you being so fertile! We have been 'not trying, but we'll see what happens' for a while, and nothing. Its ok for now, but I know it will be a lot of pressure when we oficially start trying.

I think you should move up that appt. I took THREE pg tests- 2 came up with no results and one was so faint I doubted the results. I called my drs office and the midwifehad me come in the next morning to check.

You will need to take prenatal vitamins right away(if u arent already) and they will answer any of your ?S. Be prepared with a list, cuz you will see the memory starts to go pretty quickly!
ALso, they will set up your first PG exasm, take blood, weight, blood pressure, and talk to you (and hubby) about all the diagnostic tests out there- to check for diff birth defects.
I'm in my 14th week and I cant beleive it still- but we are thrilled.
