I gave the photographer my choices in October or early November and I got my parent albums by Thanksgiving, but I am still waiting for my album. I called about a month and a half ago and he said they were behind. Now, I LOVE my photographer the pictures came out wonderful, he was so nice, hand delivered my proofs a week after the wedding (after I got back from the honeymoo), and my thank you's within a week after I chose them. This is so unlike him.
Part of me feels like its the last thing I'll get that is wedding related and it will really be the 'end' but I want my album!!! I guess I have to call and be annoying

I'm right there with you! My in-laws album was ready a few weeks ago, but I'm still waiting on mine and my parents...
(we only gave them our choices in Jan, but they should be ready within the next week or so. Too bad I won't be back to NY for months. Maybe I'll have my mom ship it out).

I also feel the same way. We gave in our choices on October 30th. The parent albums, 8x10's, 5x7's and 11x14 were ready the end of March. My 20x24 was ready also but we are getting it framed - so that'll take a while too. We approved our album the end of MArch too, so my album would have been ready 5 weeks from then (right around now), but I addeda panoramic to it and made a few other changes so I am probably looking more towards the end of May. I can't wait either!!!!

Check your contract to see the length of time to receive your album and any enlargements that were included in your package. To make you feel better our wedding was back 8 months ago in August 2002 and we still have not receive our albums yet. We have not receive any parent or our own albums as we're still waiting. We used Cassarino Studios which the contract said 60 photos will take 9-10 months thus, we have to wait. I'd rather get high quality results and wait rather than rush the job and get low-end results. Yes, I understand that you want your album as we do too but sometimes you just have to wait. At least you have your proofs to look at and video on the bright side.
I do suggest to follow up once a while but not so very often as you would annoy the studio or photographer.

I just got the call! my albums are ready, my albums are ready!!
*running around singing to the tune of chicken little's 'the sky is falling,the sky is falling'*
mom's going to pick them up tomorrow, but I don't know when I'll actually get to SEE mine...I'm so ready to be done with all wedding loose ends.

no it didn't take a year - it took under 4 months. We only gave them our photo choices in January (MIL delayed the picking of pictures ).
Shamma - I think I'll ask my mom to mail it. I don't know when we'll be in NY again. I'm afraid it will cost a fortune though since its so heavy. We'll see...
