Ok, if summer weekends are going to be hard for a lot of ppl, what is something that we could possibly do on a weeknight that would accommodate a big group of us?

Lizzie, you did not answer my question properly, and you are therefore expelled from the gtg.

What if we rented a cheap VFW type place and had a big pot luck. Just an idea.

Well, well, well Do we have enough people to rent a VFW?? That would be cool! I like it.
The question is where....bc obv most of us wanna drink... so any place we have it should be near LIRR most ladies should be able to get to the LIRR.

I liked the original idea of a park GTG since I love the outdoors. How about sometime in June after father's day?

What times do the parks close in the summer? Could we do a BBQ at Cedar Creek or something on the beach? I think if we get a permit for the beach we'll be okay. Anyone ever do something like this?

I have the leisure pass for the Nassau County parks so maybe we can put something together there?? It's goign to be hard during the week though since everyone works. Maybe we should just try and pick random weekends to see if anything works??

I think we should do a weeknight and a weekend. Actually I could do a bunch of Friday nights instead of Saturdays.

Yeah, my friday nights are usually free - if I do anything it's small, like going for a drink with DH - which can be moved. My Sat. events are usually more 'set in stone' - like showers, trips, etc.

What about Mulcahey's? We were going to do a gtg there awhile ago - its RIGHT by the LIRR, and only a little bit into Nassau, so that could be convenient for Nassau/Suffolk girls, and city girls could take the train. Its not an outdoor place, but maybe we could all meet for happy hour on a Friday when its not super crowded, and stay into the night if we choose?
