Its 8 months away but I should start thinking about it. What did you guys do for your husband's 30th bday?

Re: Ideas for DH's 30th Bday
DH's is in September...I'm hoping we'll be in a house by then so I can throw him a surprise party.

I think a surprise party is an awesome idea. my friend just did that for her fh and he was shocked and was so happy since he never had one before.

Thats a good idea. I've been debating if we should go away or if I should do a surprise something. We went to his cousin's 30th this weekend and the drama over the splitting of the bill was such a turn off for me to do something in a restaurant. Something in the house is a good idea.. thanks!

I'm probably going to plan a little surprise party with us and his friends at a nice restaurant. His Bday is in December, so I'll probably start planning in September or so.

we might do one of the chartered sail boats up the hudson. my friend did that for his 30th last year and it was awesome - very unique and fun!

DH told me not to do anything for him...but I really wanted to throw him a surprise party!!!
Mine is coming up and I told him that if he has no party planned for me...then he better have a trip planned!

i did something very similar...
stayed at the Waldorf in the city, had a very nice dinner there, on a saturday night, then on the next day, Sunday, went to the Giants game...in very very good seats
also threw a small surprise party for him the week before, just family and a couple close friends at my moms house, nothing huge...

Re: Ideas for DH's 30th Bday
we did a surprise bday at our house..
it was 4 months before our wedding so i knew we couldnt do anything big but wanted to do something... so had his parents and friends over- in total 30 ppl ish came over... it was nice enough to BBQ and everyone was in charge of bringing something so it really was not a money breaker and everyone had a great time!
made choc bars with his pic which was a HUGE hit.. lol
