Oh I think I heard about one of those. Dh was telling me it was something like the girl was bad mouthing some chick on MySpace so her friends beat her up viciously-really bad-and videoptaped it. Fortunately the judge did the right thing and is charging them as adults instead of as minors.

Its about time..so many of these teens are on the borderline edge anyway of adulthood and commit VICIOUS acts...not the old Juvie worthy stuff like stealing and a few fights but really savage crap. I think they should be tried as adults if they intend to commit 'adult crimes.' If we went around putting people we didnt like in the hospital we'd be wearing an orange jumpsuit so the punishment should fit the crime.

Hence why i say, DEFINETLY need stricter punishments for these kids. NO ONE who did something like that should be tried as a juvenille inless they did it while someone was threatening to saw off their head. HELL No! I'd probably kill my own kid before the police got there-they'd have to put ME in the squad car.

I agree with everything you said Jenn, I feel that if you do something that is an 'adult' action-whether mature or not you should be treated as such.
