If you could change one vendor (or more) which would it be?

Original post by ellebelle1

Looking back, if you could do things over again, which vendor would you change? If it's something other than what's listed, please explain. Or, if it's more than one, just choose the top.

None....but I would have been a lot more vocal with my photographer. I missed a tons of shots that we wanted....very disappointing!!!

I had an uneasy feeling about our music when it was booked, but everyone else loved him so I just went along with it.

He was good, but he could've been a LOT better.

My Limo company by far! If you read my review you'll know why. Also, the bridal boutique where I bought my gown. Not that they were THAT terrible, but it took them way too long to deliver my gown plus after getting my BM gowns from Phyllis (a vendor here), I wish I had gotten my gown through her too. Much cheaper and the employees there were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Other than that, I wouldn't change ONE thing!!!!!

MY FLORIST!!!
One of LIW's faves too!

DAY BEFORE MY WEDDING: I get a call, what kind of flowers did you want again in your mother's bo-q's??? ***? I just hung up and cried. I couldn't deal, I had to have my MOH and FH call them back and straighten it out.

Gets better: An hour later. Frantic call, 'um, yeah, we lost the fabric that you provided to wrap your bo-q and your moms, sorry' (it was my moms wedding dress, that I was going to use to wrap just our bo-q's as a surprise to her and my something old/borrowed)

THEN: Day of: Half of the things on my contract were not there!!!!!! Arrangements, centerpieces, etc.

I'm devistated right now to say the least......

oh g-o-d! sooooo sorry. especially with the piece of your mom's wedding dress!!!!

There are a couple. Our tux place was horrible...We didn't really like our photographer and only realized it about 6 weeks before the wedding when we did our e-pics...and I wish I had done something different with my hair. My hair was long and heavy and all the curls basically came out. The hair girl noticed it during my trial but didn't think to do anything else the day of.

Where I had my alterations done, definitely!!!!

Although I love my photographer, after seeing KittytheStray's pics, I wish I used hers!!!

I would have changed :

First and foremost Mother Nature(not really a vendor but any chance I get to complain I do): Getting married during Tropical Storm Ernesto was NO picnic. Especially because we were supposed to get married outside and have the reception outside. Our pics were limited due to the weather. It was just a mess.

2nd: Our Venue was horrible!!! We were cheated and lied to and are considering litigation.

3rd: Our DJ. The guys that came that night really pulled a good time out of their @sses but the owner of the company is a real jerk. I wouldnt pee in his ear if his brain was on fire!!!

Sorry for the rant.

i think i would have changed one of the people we used for our ceremony music

i think i would have also remembered to be more clear with the florist.

i wanted all white flowers in my bouquet and he put some fillers in it. it was still gorgeous but i wanted it to be all white.

Venue... I should have listened to my gut instinct

Ditto.

I had second thoughts immediately after booking...heck, I had second thoughts WHILE we were booking. I never should've let my parents and DH talk me into it...

I hated the place from the beginning and hated it the day of the wedding. I still had a wonderful day and a fun wedding but I will never think fondly of my venue...

I loved working with my florist who is highly recommended here and the centerpieces were beautiful. But he got my bouquet all wrong!

He gave me bright pink roses when I wanted white roses that had a light pink edging. I brought in pictures of the rose and he pulled it out of the showcase and wrote the name down on my contract. I called him on my wedding day to complain and he said that he must have completely misunderstood what I wanted. I don't know how.

They did send me a new bouquet that was closer to what I wanted, but most of my pictures at the house are with the first bouquet. It was so disappointing to me because I envisioned my bouquet and knew exactly what I wanted from the get go. Mistakes happen, but you don't mess with the bride's bouquet! All of my other vendors were fantastic!

I'm still really sad that there are maybe 2 pictures of me alone fully dressed on my wedding day so I'd have to sadly say, photographer.

If I could change one vendor, it would be photographer. While I have some nice pictures, I am not blown away by them.
