If you had your dress preserved...

If you had your dress preserved...

was it sealed airtight? I just got mine back in it's big beautiful box. When I opened the flap to look through the window at it, there was an open slit that the flap stuck into. I thought it would be airtight, but it wasn't. Now I'm worried that I shouldn't have lifted the flap Was anyone else's like that?

Mine came in a box within a box. The inner box had a window so you can see the gown. I don't remember any openings.

When I go home I have to go and see.

did you use wedclean? It sounds like you have the same box that I have.

They do instruct you to open every so often (one per year) to flatten it out and repackage it.

I think they do this because if fabric stays creased for too long, it starts to break apart.

I used some place in Riverhead and my Mom got no instructions when she picked it up. I think I will call them. I do feel better though because it make perfect sense that you should refold it once in awhile. It also make me happy that a will be able to touch it again
