Ohhhh, thank you ladies!!!!

We're so excited!! Our floors are being done today (hated the rose colored carpet and love hardwood
floors!!) and we're having it painted next week!!

We spent 4 hours taking the wallpaper down from the kitchen and bathroom yesterday!! No offense, but who wallpapers the ceiling!?!

It's in Seaford - Island Trees SD, 4 BR (2 up, 2 down), 2 Bath cape w/ EIK, dining room, full bsmt (1/2 finished), 1 car attached garage. Nice yard, too!!

Lisa - you're welcome to stop by *any* time, and not just Mondays! Although, I'm sure we'll stop by your new digs first - I need decorating tips!

Cira - Yay for you!! It was a bit stressful over the weekend and even at the closing table, but we got the keys and the deed!! We didn't have our closing costs UNTIL 1 1/2 hours into closing. Citibank SUKKS!!!!!

Michelle - if you ever need to vent about being in contract for 7 months ... call on me!!

Fran - my commuter buddy-to-be... lol. You mean Thanksgiving NEXT year, right? I'm showing up at mom's with the other 23 people this year!!

But, I have to ask - we are about to enter into contract too - why were you waiting to go to closing for seven months??

So now a question - are closing costs different because of the bank or price of the house?

Claud: It took 7 months because we agreed to give the sellers time to find another house. We truly felt that they'd find something sooner than later. Our on or about closing date was Nov. 15th and they took us to the very end! Meanwhile, they never did find a house and had to move in with her mother...dorks!!

We took a big chance that the mortgage rates would/could go up...that was the hardest part! Thankfully, they dropped from 7.25 to 6.25!! YAY!!

Victoria: Citibank is so ridiculously backed up that they didn't have our numbers until we were actually at the closing table. I was a wreck on Friday because I had no idea how to make out the certified checks, not to mention, the overall costs! Very stressful!! If you have a good lender, this shouldn't happen!

BTW, no need to bring a paintbrush, we have the pros for that...but, DH loves cheesecake!! LOL
