I'm back from my anniversary cruise!!! Now its time for CAKE! I need help though

Hey gals what was the verdict on the defrosting of the cake? How long and should I do it in the fridge or on the counter. Thanks in advance!! I hope its not too disgusting

i think if you put in the fridge for like 2 or 3 days before you intend on eating it owuld be fine

2 days in teh fridge sounds good - i hope mine tastes good after a year since the bite of cake i had was when they make you and DH feed each other - and that one piece was deeeee-lish!

We just got back from our Anniversary cruise too!

and we have the cake in the Refrigerator defrosting. I hope your is is good!
can't wait for ours because i only had the bite my husband fed me that night.

We put our cake in the fridge for just 1 day.
It was pretty thawed by then.

Don't unwrap it, otherwise condensation forms on the cake instead of on the wrapping.
Leave it in the fridge for 2 days, then take it out about an hour before you want to eat it so it comes to room temp.

just did this! We put ours in the fridge early friday morning and ate it after dinner sat. night(so it had two full days in the fridge)...DEFINETLY take it out and put it on the counter about a 1/2 hour to an hour before u're going to eat it...we didn't do this and the cake was SOOOO much better the next morning! hope this helps good luck! our's was so yummy!
