I'm DONE wrapping

yep, all the presents (except for one still in the mail) is already wrapped! ALSO:

The tree, wreath, and window decorations went up last weekend, AND... (and this is the most important 'and')...... THE FOOD IS ON THE TREE!
(It's a german tradition to have sweets hanging on the tree).

I had to travel to a super-ethnic shop to get hand-made chocolate nonpareils circles. Then, I strung ribbons through all of them and hung them on the tree.

I love the food-on-tree tradition. As a kid, I used to eat the ornaments in the back of the tree every sat and sun morning before my parents woke-up. Gradually, I worked my way to the front

As adults, we have people over on new years, and ask them to help us 'eat the tree'

Oh man I got gyped as a kid! My Mom is German and we never had anything yummy on the tree!!!! haha....i keep looking at my gingerbread house drooling...the tree has been up...and i just put up the outside lights....wrapping? I haven't even finished shopping But glad you are ahead of the game!

You beat me this year! usually Im done with xmass xhopping by first week in december because I HATE malls so do everything as early as possible lol I start asking what people want in july! but this year DJ is 'helping' which means we're SLOW.

i love that tradition by the way. We could never do it cause our cats would try to eat the tree before we could.

Did some wrapping yesterday; have a bunch more stuff coming in the mail that needs to be wrapped. Hoping to decorate tree tonight and this week finish shopping, get Christmas picture taken and sent out.

We have our tree lit, but no ornaments hung yet...

I have the gifts boxed. not wrapped...still have to shop some more for the nephews...

the tree-food tradition is REALLY old-school. only the fresh off-the-boat people really do it. It's that, the gingerbread house, and the chocolate advent calendars for kids.......

I try to keep all of these traditions intact, just to keep the ethnic stuff alive
