i'm feeling very goth

i've been wearing dark nail polish all winter. i snuck in a quick mani between work meetings today and they carried black satin by chanel...so I went for it.

my next mani is gonna be a pale pink in honor of the spring so i figured i'd go out with a bang

dh definitely gets confused by some of my polish picks. he doesn't say anything but i can just tell some of the colors i wear confuses him. i think he'd be thrown for a loop for with jet black

thoughts? like? dislike?

its not goth if you're not dressed to match your nail color.

I was wearing a black suit dress, black tights, and black ballet flats...but I had a pink scarf thing on and my tights had a flower pattern in them...and i was wearing oversized pearl earrings...so ya, i was teasing about the goth thing!

I like...but I can't do black for work. We r a conservative bunch.

I have a fushia polish on now and I think its okay w/o being too noticeable...I did have black for halloween and it was quickly noticed...

Ya, probably not my best choice for work but I won't be seeing any company colleagues this whole week so that is good. Not sure how this will be received in the hospitals. I feel weird enough wearing dark/black suits into patient care units...now i'm rocking black nails too...although without looking closely it kinda looks like one of the many dark colors that is in this season.

It will probably start chipping in a day or two anyways

i love super dark colors! esp black, dark blue and purple.

At work people judge my nails more when the color is reallly bright. One rude lady told me her 6 yr old daughter had the same shade of bright pink that I had one.

LOVE the dark colors! But I do the same thing as you with the going spring when I'm hopeful for better weather.

Have you tried the 'Shatter' nail stuff? It's amazing! They paint on whatever color you want and then you pick a shatter color to go over the color you picked. It dries AWESOME with a shattered look over the color you picked. Wait, let me see if I can find a picture...

i've done the matte finish polish before...like the grey/silver stuff that isn't shiny. it was pretty cool...a little too cool for me i think
