I took him kayaking today. It was his first time. I was a little disappointed with the place we went to...it was in West Virginia, and the kayaks weren't that great. But it was still fun!

I did that once. It was really fun. I also want to try tubing.

Congrats!

My city boy husband and I also tried kayaking, on our honeymoon. If I had known how uncoordinated he was going to be, I may have asked for 2 kayaks instead of a 1.

He was so bad, he put us out into the middle of the bay where, when we turned around to go back, we had the wind blowing right at us! I made him paddle most of the way back as punishment.

River and Trail Outfitters. But I wasn't happy with them. They didn't have any ocean kayaks (just the huge recreational ones) and the paddles were all the same size. So it was really hard working against the Shenendoah River. It was a constant battle. If we rested at all, our kayaks would turn around and we would start to go backwards.

Hmmm...need to find out where my friends go, that place doesn't sound familiar though!

Yes, I'd love to know of another place to try.
