I'm scared to go home today....
I'm scared to go home today.
I am actually considering working late, something I try to avoid like the plague, but tonight may be the night. I feel the need to reorganize all my files.
My dear, darling husband is scheduled to undergo a colonoscopy tomorrow at 10:30am. Routine test because of his age and family history.
It is his first though, so he is a bit nervous. Can't blame the guy.
But, this also means that he has had nothing to eat since midnight last night. No solid food today, only clear liquids. Not a skinny guy, he is already growling that he is staaaaarrrrrving. He was not amused when I told him he could eat an ice pop. 'That's not food' was barked into my ear.
Sorry babe, doctors orders, I'll talk to you later and hung up the phone quickly. I'm a bad wife.
Did I mention that my dear, darling husband is quite the baby when he is sick ?
Starting at 5:00pm, he has to drink 64 ounces of Snapple mixed with a 258gram bottle of Miralax. That bottle is usually 14 doses. He has to drink that in 1 hour.
Oh boy.
I usually get home at 6:00. Maybe I can make it into the bathroom for a quick tinkle before ahhhh, (I don't want to get graphic here).
We only have one bathroom. Not the night to be sharing one.
After all this, he has to take 4 laxative tablets at 9:00pm. Tells me yesterday that's not what the box says. Yes, dear. The box says one thing, but you have to follow the doctor's orders.
Grumbling is all I can make out at that point, and I really don't think he was telling me that he loved me.
Oh how I tried to send him home to his mother for today and tonight, but she wouldn't have any of it. 'As I told you on your wedding day, he's all yours now. '
Gee, thanks Elaine. I only thought that a little boy would want his mother.............
I really don't want to go home today..........
