does anyone know that if i DID change my name through social security, but haven't yet done so on my passport, is my passport still valid to use??? I MAY have a modeling opportunity in the next 2/3 weeks that would require me to go to the uk but i have yet to change me name on my passport...but like i said, i DID change me name through SS. i dont want to comitt to submitting for this job if this is going to be a problem but i'm not sure because i know with legal stuff ur maiden name still shows up on certain things(ie: i was just at the bank opening a new account the other day & my maiden name pulled up first). Any info would help! thanks!

What does your driver's license say?
Honestly, I think whatever your name is on your passport is OK so long as your plane ticket matches exactly. I don't think they'll check your license or your SS card - they only ask for your passport when you fly and it has to match your ticket. So as far as I know, should be fine!

I was told by my travel agent right after I had changed my name and we were thinking about traveling to Canada that I should just have my ticket issued in my maiden name. As long as your ticket and your passport match that is all they really look at now. But you might want to double check with another travel agent.

i do NOT plan on changing my passport until its time to renew it
think about it, when you travel you show your passport and your boarding pass - thats all. so you will be fine using your maiden name just remember to book everything ( tickets, hotel) under your maiden name

i just booked a trip to the dominican republic--and i told my TA that my passport is still in my maiden name but all my billing info was in my married name--he said that was fine and that as long as the name on the TICKET is issued to the name that is on your PASSPORT - its not a problem.
so just purchase your ticket and make sure you list your passenger info exactly as it is on your passport

As long as you book the trip in your maiden name (the one that is on your passport) the passport is valid to use.

i just went to switzerland and used my passport under my maiden name and it was fine..
just make sure your ticket matches the name on your passport.. thats all you need!

thankyou so much girls! i feel so much better i still have an old liscense lying around as well - so really i can book the ticket, and then have my old liscense as well as my passport. whheew...i SO appreciate all the info! thanks!
