That's really hard to answer .... I think it depends a lot on the situation.
If I had to pick one for a general answer, I would probably say time.

Time. It is something that cannot ever be replaced.

Money
i have a weird view on time---i don't think you can really save 'time' -- cause the time you have on this earth is what you have to me. nothing more, nothing less.

I'd say id rather save time because money can buy everything besides time...The more time you have in the world, the more money you can make in that time, and thus save.

It depends what it is and what the financial situation is.
Things around the house if we can do it I would rather do it myself than pay someone. I would rather spend money on fun stuff than pay someone to rake leaves or paint a room.
Other things I would say save time. My brother waited in a airport for 7 hours because the flight that was later in the day was $40 cheaper than the earlier one. That is being cheap and I would rather save time.
If your a waitress you would love my Dh he hates waiting for change so he always over tips.

You guys are very clever... I'm falling in on the side of 'time' since as most of you point out, it's real an anachronism, you can't 'save time' you can't 'Make time' right? There's not 'time bank'... Whereas you can both make and save $$$, which is really a 'means to an end'...
Time, to me = life.
Ergo, I will spend money in order to allocate my time effectively/pleasurably.. within reason of course, so yes, i'll still rake my own leaves and vacuum my home, but...
SOMETIMES YOU JUST GOTTA SEND THE LAUNDRY OUUUUUUT..

Laundry is money well spent. $15 to get rid of 2 days work. I only wish I could bring the people home with me and make them put the clothes in the drawer instead of on the dresser where they sit longer than they should.

Time = $$$.
When I chose to do something...like airplane flight above...I calculate if I went to work how much I could make by working those hrs. This will tell you who will wait overnight (college students) vs who will pay MUCH more more direct/private flights/no wait in line options.
