My absent-minded photographer forgot to take a picture of my invitation. So, what the photo studio is going to do is post it in my album as the first page and post it flush to a white page w/ a thin gold border around it. I am getting a library album, all of the pictures are flush to the page w/out a border. So, the entire page, will be the picture. Has this happen to anyone else where the photographer didn't take a picture of the invitation? Anyone have any advice before he does this? Thanks.

take an invitation and have the photographer take a picture of it over some flowers. You could even get an arrangement of your flower colors and have them in the background. Or if you have a photo of your flowers or bokay impose a photo of your invite on top of them.

Well, he was going to have another photographer take a picture of it at their next wedding and bring my invitation (how cheesy is that!) The place we are getting it done is the photo lab that the photographer works for, so we are dealing with the last stop with the photos. Now the problem is, he said there is no requests of where to take the picture or what the photographer does with it. It has to be convenient for the photographer and an inconvenience for me in other words. He is a friend of ours and he is giving us a good price, so I don't want to be demanding or nasty to him, since he is cutting us a good deal. So unfortunately, I really don't have any options. Either I take a roll of the dice, have the photographer take a picture and pay for that picture to be developed and chance that I may not like it at all. Or have them post it in the album. What do you guys think? Should I take a roll of the dice or just have him put it in the album? Or does anyone have any other ways it can be posted in my album? Any backgrounds or anything? Thanks.

did your photographer take any pictures of your flowers alone? If so, I would have them photoshop a picture and add in your invite. I would not just use other flowers since it prob will not match the rest of your photos.

No, the photographer did not . She was terrible! The only picture she took was of my and dh's hands on top of my flowers and that is our last page. I guess, maybe I can use that and pick another picture as the last page. Thanks, that could work .

do you have any table photos with the flowers in them? Could you completely photoshop a photo where the flowers or even your bokay were in the photo and add the invite that way?

We have our actual invitation posted in the front of the wedding album too since our photographer didn't take a picture of it. People comment to us about how different that is, and I liked it too, so we were happy.

I didnt do this myself b/c I was fine with the photo of the invitation I used but I think its quite nice to keep an actual invitation in the album. That way you have a copy and its both displayed and protected.
I wouldnt recommend trying to photoshop a photo together...you will always know its fake so why bother?
This is just me but I would not allow that photographer to use my friends wedding as a chance to fix this problem. Its not really appropriate IMO to use 'her' time for your wedding. If you want them to retake the photo, let them do it in their studio or your home.
