My friend's computer is on the fritz. He dropped his ipod off and asked me to put some music on it for him before he goes away. Do I need to create a new itunes for him or can I just put the music onto the ipod from my itunes. Thanks in advance.

Re: IPod Questions
Seperate the catagories if you know he doesn't want certain songs and move them into a different folder that itunes cannot read. Than just plug it in. I would not worry about creating a whole nother i tunes account That would be crazy to have two of the same program running. I don't even know if that will work

Re: IPod Questions
you can't put mp3 files from one computer from another ipod it has to be from where the ipod is connected to all the time..

um.. I think what she is saying is that you will erase all the files he currently has unless you have the software to u/l to than go and save it - than put it back into your i tunes too add it back.
He will get all your songs if you don't take out your current songs and put them into your c drive only.
I hope that this explanation helps you a bit.

Re: IPod Questions
Thank you all for your help. I just finished putting some music on the ipod. The one good thing is that there was no music on it, so I just made a play list for him.
Thank you again for your help

Re: IPod Questions
that is kinda odd - i can add songs to my ipod from another computer (mac to mac) but I can't synch the ipod to another computer with out loosing my data. What i do is open Itunes don't allow it to synch then when its connected I just select songs off that particular Itunes and drag and drop. It maye diff for pc users.
