IS ANY NW PLANNING OR WAS PLANNING ON ATTENDING THE

Planned GTG being thrown by LIW?? I just want to get an idea. If LIW did plan a GTG for the NW, what would you like it to be like???

I would like a GTG, where it could benefit us NW'S.

I would like GC'S to all types of home stores.
Also I would just love to be able to really talk to you gals about married life and so on.
I mean we do a lot of that here, but being it is the internet I feel alot of people are very reserved and do not give the nitty gritty.

To sum it up- I do not want the GTG to be boring.

I would go to a NW GTG or any GTG that doesnt involve being inundated with wedding vendors. I don't need prizes. A venue where we can all have a nice meal, a drink, minlge, here good music, etc.

ETS - I don't plan to attend the Jan. GTG.

I responded that it is not for me, I want a GTG just for us, things that interest us. I would love to meet and chat with you gals and what not, but like Christine said I have no need for vendors or to be bored watching others win prizes while we sit around. I just wanted to get a feel for what the NW want. Thanks all

I would like a GTG to spend time with my wonderful fellow NW and to meet NW ladies I have not yet met.

Just as a clarification - this GTG is being held just like a wedding. Actually, it is a wedding, just a mock one. There will be food (a full sit down dinner) and music (a band and a DJ). And plenty of time to mingle, talk, etc. Will there be prizes for the brides to be? Yes! But done very differently than before (minimal time). Will there be prizes etc for the newlyweds? You bet! For the guys too! Think of it this way. This is a fantastic night out for $50 per couple where can you go to dinner, mingle with a bunch of people and win prizes for $50? Where can you go to dinner for $50?And to top it off I have the Hilton giving us a special price of $79 for any couple that wants to stay the night. And then there is breakfast, the pool, etc. So, all in all this is a wonderful way for many to get together, enjoy music, food and if you want to spend the night and continue the fun. It's gonna be a blast!

although I would enjoy seeing all the newlyweds again, there is no way I could stand sitting through another GTG like the one last January, the thought of the Newlyweds(most of whom have used, praised, and helped build the businesses of the vendors on these boards)being seated in the far corner of the room annoys the hell out of me. JMO

I'm not interested (and couldn't go even if I was since we'll still be in CA).

But I prefer the more intimate GTGs where you can actually talk to everyone.

The only part of it that seemed cool was that it was on a Saturday. As you know, I also live outside of NY (in the DC area) and can't make it up for anything other than a weekend, with Saturday night being the best option for me. That said, I didn't think this one applied to me...it sounded way too geared towards brides to be. And since I really don't know too many other people on the site personally, it would be a little strange. As Lisa said, I'd much prefer a place where we could really get to know one another. And I'd LOVE to see something geared just towards newlyweds!
