Every time they give an update, I tear up and get choked up. That pilot should be named a hero...to land that plane so perfectly, in water and save the entire flight is just amazing. I just saw an image of people who were just rescued, smiling and just happy makes me so incredibly happy and grateful!

I haven't been able to watch any coverage yet, but I could just imagine. I agree...it's amazing it turned out the way it did! There are so many ways it could've been so much worse.

I got teared up a few times. Its a miracle they all made it out safe. Flying scares me. I think of things like that when I take off

me too! I was following it at work and I had to go into the ladies' room to compose myself and then I couldnt watch/listen to anything else until I got home.
For a few reasons, first it is a real live miracle! But also this around the clock coverage always reminds me of 9/11 and gives me very bad anxiety.

I'm glad it's not just me! I got one of those you held your tears back too long migraines and I knew I had to stop listening. Then I got home and no matter what channel I turned to, it couldn't be avoided!
I was emotional because of the happy ending and also because I keep thinking of what these people went through. One minute you think you're going to Charlotte, NC and the next minute you're standing on the wing of a plane in the Hudson river and you have no idea whether it's going to go under with you on it. We go to NC all the time and I'm never worried because it's a 2 hour flight, if that. Friggin geese.

I had such a sick feeling in my stomach thinking about water coming into the plane and it sinking. I watched some of it when I got home and then got busy, otherwise I probably would've been watching it getting all emotional. It's incredible they all kept pretty calm. Anytime something happens in the city too now, it's kind of unnerving. My boss said the same thing about the geese.

Even watching the updates this morning is causing me to cry! I am so happy for those people and the fact that they had such a wonderful pilot!
