is anyone depressed?

i have bee married afor 3 months and I feel like everyone is pulling me or us on a different direction. I want to move out of state and everyone is giving is a hard time. Now that it is the holidays, I feel that everyone expects us to be someplace and personally, I would love to just jump on a plane and get out of here. An I just being too emotional or an I going crazy????

Re: is anyone depressed?

The adjustment after marriage can be rough sometimes, I guess ... especially when trying to juggle seeing 'everyone.' And from what I've always heard, depression is at its highest at this time of year .. kinda backwards since this is supposed to be happy season .. but I can understand the depression .. this is a perfect time to reflect on a lot of things .. but try to focus on the positive .. and what makes you happy. If you feel too many people are expecting too much out of you, try telling them in some way .. start carefully .. then gradually continue to build up if they refuse to listen to you to where they are actually hearing and understanding what you're telling them.

But I will say this .. try not to push too far away from everyone .. because eventually, it will become too easy to stay away .. and you won't be spending that quality time .. and you'll miss out on lots of memories and special moments.

I know exactly how that feels. Do to certain situations that are coming up in our life we can't move.

Re: is anyone depressed?

I will not lie...my entire first year of marriage was so hard for me even more than my husband. I cried every morning and could not adjust at all! I thought that I Would never fall back into things and I was so worried and upset all the time.

Then we had a death in the family that put all of our plans on hold which was hard as well..because between mourning and trying to figure out our 'life's plan', it was so stressful.

But I agree..do not shut people out..I did that my first 3 months and it was the worst thing I could have done. Now my entire family knows how hard it was for me and they are always there for me as I am there for them...it makes it a little easier..

Good luck to you!
