Is anyone else sad that their wedding is over?
DH and I aren't taking a honeymoon until March or April (we have to wait until he graduates from the police academy) so I took off Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and went back to work yesterday. I came home so depressed that it's all over, I almost feel like it was anticlimatic. Although it was the most womderful day of my life, I feel like I didn't have that opportunity to have my head in the clouds and be true newlyweds because it was back to reality so quickly, DH had to report at 7am the day after the wedding! I don't know, I'm just so sad

Totally normal. Most of us went through that. It will lessen over time. But you do have your honeymoon to look forward to!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Is anyone else sad that their wedding is over?
Even a month after being home from our honeymoon I still get so very sad that it's over. I guess from what I hear it's totally normal.I wish my wedding day could have lasted forever. I loved everything about being a bride and the planning and my wedding.

Re: Is anyone else sad that their wedding is over?
Don't know if it makes you feel any better, but we only went on a three day Honeymoon and then back to the real world. Our Honeymoon will be in February due to work also. I was in the worst mood at work last week. What we've been doing in the meantime is to try to spend some time alone together. Last Sunday we spent the day on the Northfork (which felt like being away) and just told everyone we were on our Honeymoon. We got free chocolate, posters and earlier in the week we were in Pottery Barn and they gave us a 10% discount. So, milk it, I say. You're honeymoon should last till you come back in March or April.

Re: Is anyone else sad that their wedding is over?
Thanks everyone! At least I know I'm not alone. We spent this past weekend in CT, we went to Foxwoods, ate at nice restaurants and went to Mystic Seaport. I feel much better now that we've had a mini-honeymoon and alone time.I do plan on milking the 'honeymooner' status when we finally do take the real deal in the spring!

Re: Is anyone else sad that their wedding is over?
I feel the same way also. I cannot believe that yesterday made 4 weeks since our wedding day. I loved planning the wedding and I had a great wedding day but I am so sad that it is over.I tell eveyone who is getting married soon to enjoy the time no matter how stressful it becomes because it goes by so quickly.
It is a really special time in our lives and I will always remember it.

It has been a year and a half for me, and I still think about how much fun the wedding was. I totally miss it too! However, married life is a lot of fun, and I am excited about just living together and being married! You will feel better soon!
