It just feels like everyone around me is either TTC, prego or trying for #2 & I kind of feel out in the cold.
Is anyone else waiting a couple of years before starting a family or are we the odd ones out???

You're not alone. We're waiting. But luckily, all of my friends are still living the single life- so im really not around anyone TTC or pregnant (except for you ladies)
At first it was 5 years, but now we're saying we're going to evaluate in 2012 and see if we're ready...and if it's a yes, then we'll probably start trying in 2013.

I'm not...it's not that I don't want kids, we do, just DH kinda subscribes to the 'we'll never have enough money' philosophy, which encompasses a lot of things, kids included. I think we'll probably reevaluate in September 2011, after we FINALLY go on a HM and hopefully are closer to having a house. I'll only be 26 still at that point so I'm really not too concerned. Maybe start trying at the 2 year anny mark...I don't think having your first kid at 27 or 28 is considered 'late' at all anymore, so I'm ok with not TTC until then.

ME!!! I could not imagine trying to have a baby right now. I am about a year away from finishing my PhD in neuroscience and I hardly get any sleep as it is...maybe in three years or so...we will have to see.

We're waiting 3 years. I'm about to start a PhD program and I want to get through my coursework first. Plus I'm only 25, and I feel like I'm too young and want to do a few more things first. So you're not alone!

were definately not. just got married though so that could be part of it. we 100% want a house first, maybe next summer and then well see but for now NOT ttc
