Is it me or are some people just rude? Wedding pictures
I went to a family bbq yesterday and walked into a video slide show of the wedding we had gone to for my Dh's niece who is in her early 20's. EVERY picture was of the father's side and about a handful was of her mother's side (which is dh, his sister, etc). I mean I figured I wasn't included in the pics because i had just married dh a month prior and maybe they weren't comfortable with me being in the pics yet. NO = they had taken no formal shots at all of this side of the family and a ton (multi's) of the other.
At our wedding I over did pics for his family because I felt both of his sisters families should be very apart of our memories. Since Dh's parents died many years ago his closest sister played mom of the groom and they other sister we did a spotlight dance at the reception. I had both sister's wedding pictures out for display, etc. So i thought I really didn't snub anyone at all and now DH feels like he was and even his other closer sister was livid that she was around for this person's life and was very active in it and yet no shots of her with her.
Am I wrong or is this really a huge thing? I mean dh and his closest sister want to approach the other sister and say what the hell - why didn't we take pics at your daughter's wedding but yet we included all your daughters and your family in (our) wedding? I feel they should ignore it. (edited: only ignore it because i think this will cause a family war - i hang with these people, criticism isn't taken very well).
