Yeah, I don't think there's any excuse for not sending thank you cards for your shower. (or for any gift that you receive for that matter) Everyone who went spent time and money on you, you should at least be grateful enough to send a little note. Sorry, but this is a VERY touchy subject with me.

I think so - i know they are a pain but people will really appreciate it - after all they took the time to chose a gift for you and attend your shower. How would you feel if the roles were reversed?

I had my shower July 6th - I'm going to buy them tonight and write it out and send them off tomorrow right away. . I hope a months time wasn't too late for a thank you. YIKES!

anytime a gift is given, a TY should be sent within a reasonable amount of time.

I think it is very wrong. When people go out of their way to come to a shower and spend their time and money on a gift, it is the thing that should be done. I am very big when it comes to thank you cards.

I was taught to send a TY card for any and every occasion, wedding related or not.

I think it wrong not to send a TY card when someone gives you any gift. There is NO excuse except perhaps a family death or illnesss (and even then it should just be late, not forgotten)

I was also late, but I sent them. And I got calls thanking me for them b/c they were personalized w/pics from the shower.
SO they saw a reason they were late, and loved it.
People are so appreciative to be thanked, trust me, send them better late than never.
