Is there a song that makes you cry?

I'm sure some of you will say your wedding song...
but is there one random song out there that makes you cry?

Okay this is a weird question...but I guess this comes from being a musical person.

I bawl like a baby everytime I hear 'If You're Not the One' by Daniel Beddingfield. Anyone ever hear that song? OMG I heard it on the radio during our long distance days, and I just started bawling. Then I downloaded it and would torture myself crying to it all the time!
(the chorus goes like this - 'I don't wanna run away but I can't take it, I don't understand. If I'm not made for you then why does my heart tell me that I am' OMG I could cry just writing the words! )

God Only Knows by the Beach Boys used to do this to me- I got over it after a while!

I have my I want to be depressed cds that i play when I am sad. Somehow feeling cr@ppy and listening to depressing music makes me feel happy again. For that i would listen to any album by the Smiths.
Then I have the songs that randomly creep up on me in the car on the radio and for some reason bring a sudden feeling of sadness. Sadness because they bring back memories of a good time that is over or just sadness because I associate it with a sad event in my life. Some of my random sad songs are...
The Boys of Summer by Don Henley something about the last verse is so sad .....'those days are gone forever I should just let them go.'
Grace by Supergrass reminds me of a very happy time which makes me happy and sad at the same time.
Love is Blindness and Miss Sarajevo by U2 make me sad I have no idea why.

I love a quote by the Counting Crows 'the price of a memory is the memory of the sorrow it brings.'

Sorry i'm rambling on but I love this question. I am semi-obsessed with music and if I had any talent whatsoever and did not sound like a cat being murdered when I sing I would have loved tobe a music teacher like you.

I love that song! I used to play it all the time and it would make me tear up.

Stand by You by the Pretenders makes me get all teary.

'Make you feel my love' and 'Unanswered Prayers' by Garth Brooks. both just get me teary eyed for so many reasons

'Angel' & 'I will remember you' by Sarah Maclachlan --- they have some meaning for me and a friend

'Dance with my father' - by Luther Vandross. just gets me every time

i'm sure i could think of others...but that's just off the top of my head

this song gets me EVERY time. I could be standing in line at the bagel store, deli, mall, supermarket wherever and i will just start balling.

thats my song to!! reminds me of sept 11 and it gets me everytime and my wedding song but a cry in a good way i relive my 1st dance everytime i hear it and i get happy tears!!

'Butterfly Kisses'.... I bawl everytime I hear it!

Which is why I chose NOT to have that as my father/daughter dance.

That Christmas Shoes Song and the Live Like You Were Dying song.

I swear, when my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and was going through treatment that stupid Christmas Shoes song was on ALL the time.

The Live Like You Were Dying song gets me every time, too... especially when my dad had open heart surgery!

Our wedding song doesn't make me cry at all. We laughed through our whole first dance mainly talking about how awkward it was to be dancing there with everyone staring at us.

oooh Melissa I LOOVE to Make You Feel My Love- what a powerful song. Could you imagine what it would sound like if Bob Dylan, the actual writer of the song, sang it?

The other song that gets me- though not always, is Imagine by John Lennon. I usually bawl when they play it on the anniversary of his death or if its related to anything 9/11.

Dance with My Father by Luther Vandross gets me every time...and yet I still never change it!

Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton...was on all the time when my 22 yr old cousin died..

And a country song about a girl with cancer who goes to her prom...not sure who sings it

I am in Tears reading all these Posts.

The song that Always makes me cry. It reminds me of my Grandfather who Passed away. He bascially raised me with my Grandmother.

I had to play it at my Wedding. It was the Special song I danced with my Grandmother to.

The Escape Club.... 'I'll be there'

oh i am such sap for songs! I could cry b/c of just about anything especially movies and music! Thats the emotional cancer in me.

One song that gets me everytime though is
The Police- Every step you take...it reminds me of my grandmother who passed

Also, ever since i went to a wedding where the bride's father passed away, she danced her first dance with her brother to Luther Vandross 'dance with my father again' she was hysterical, an emotional wreck the entire time and so was everyone in that ballroom. No one could contian them themselves it was ridiculous. Everytime i hear that song i tear up and it reminds me of her.

I cry when i hear really lovey dovey love songs too.
