Is this tacky? TY ?

We still have some thank you's we haven't sent out yet - DH's friends that he wanted to think of something personal/special to say in there card.. I gave him the list 4 mos ago of ones we haven't sent yet for him to go over and think of something to say.

So i finally made him give me the list back so i could just write them a nice thank you and be done with it. (no, he didn't do anything)

my question: Since we are also doing our holiday cards now, would it be tacky to insert the thank you in a holiday card? Some people we don't usually send cards to, some we do. But i figured since its the season.. And i know its just an extra .37 to send separate, but i thought it would be economical to send them both together..

Thoughts?? Good? Bad? Most of these people are guys and probably don't care anyway. But for my own piece of mind...

Thanks!!

Re: Is this tacky? TY ?

Um... I really wouldn't say it's tacky (or call you a loser for it!) just maybe not the more 'proper' way of doing it. I hear where your coming from... these are people who probably don't know the first thing about this type of etiquette anyway so they wouldn't care or judge anyway.

I think it's up to you. If it's not too much trouble, send out two cards...I mean, why not, you're sending out x-mas cards anyway, right? Or don't. Not too big a deal.... sorry I'm not much help today!!

Re: Is this tacky? TY ?

I don't think it's appropriate either. My TY's finally just went out and DH still has his to do - even though i know I'll end up doing most!! I think if you want to save money - you're better off mentioning in the TY happy holidays or a holiday message in the TY and then you can save on sending them a holiday card.

Re: Is this tacky? TY ?

If the cards were meant to be holiday greetings too, I think that would be fine...but I wouldnt put two cards in the same envelope.

Re: Is this tacky? TY ?

I've seen TY's (with the slip in picture kinds) with a Christmasy/wintery theme.

Let me see if I could find a picture.

I found some (they had a lot to choose from the website)....

Thanks guys, i'm just a slacker.

The holiday cards were separate cards. It was just meant to send a holiday greeting w/ the TY.
