Is this too girly- girl?

Is it too 'girlish' to have something sent to his job? I want to send a basket or balloons to him at work cause he always does for me but my friend told me that was girly. What do you ladies think? is there something better to send? Please let me know! Thanks ladies!

Would sending somthing like baloons embarass your husband? What about sending something lower key like lunch?

I did it ONCE and the other guys teased him so much that I felt bad for him and never did it again.
I think it depends on your husband and his coworkers.

I think it depends on his job and his personality.

I know as much as I love flowers, I get so embarrassed when they are sent to my job. It just doesn't happen too much at my work and when it does everyone makes such a big deal. As a manager, I just don't deem it appropriate....but I do love flowers!

I know some guy got balloons sent to the office once and he didn't seem to mind but I did think ballons we kind of girly although sweet. My DH is in a high-profile finance job and I think he would kill me if I sent something like that.

Sounds so fun and sweet. I think that something more low-key would be appropriate. Cookies, lunch, etc may be better. JMO

Good Luck.

Niecey, my job is the same way!! All day long, you get, 'Sooooooooooo, who sent you flowers?' 'What's the occasion?' I am so embarrassed by it.

But the funny thing is, its mostly my sister that sends them

I told DH that I would prefer to enjoy the flowers at home so he doesn't send them to the office anymore.

My office is so down to earth so flowers and those type of things are really nothing. People get flowers and gifts all the time. Dag everytime I hear these stories of how up tight some companies are I think I can never leave here. I really love the atmosphere. Its so down to earth. Where my husband works is even more down to earth. Its all men so they probably would jokingly tease him.

When he was in the military I sent him flowers when he was under the weather and he really liked them. I don't think anyone teased him.

Though I would not send them again. I am sure he would rather me buy him a game cube game than flowers.

Once I sent him a big cookie from mrs field's a t work because he was having a lot of issues. he said he got teased a little but the whole dept ate it. He would kill me if I sent him anything at his new dept.

I sent my DH flowers at work while we were dating. He was having a particularly rough week and I just wanted to do something to cheer him up. He works with both men and women and the women thought it was sweet and the men were all jealous. Imagine that...men getting jealous about flowers. How cute. My DH was so excited and it made him feel so good that I have done it a few times since. He really loves it and it makes him feel special which he absolutely is

Christine-I hate that attention. People want to come over and smell them and ask what the occasion and you are right they are usually not from DH - mom and dad like to send them and then people make the biggest deal. Do you know one day this nosey man came up and opened the card as he had his annoying face stuck in the flowers smelling them? I was so annoyed.

dgtl-my company is not uptight (DH'S maybe but definitely not mine). The people are down to earth (little crazy (lol) but down to earth) but no matter what the situation is at work I am not the type of person that likes attention drawn to me. When flowers are sent everyone comes and visits and makes such a big deal!

Someone opened your card. What in the world?

Yeah I wouldn't like that kind of attention either.

You know I haven't gotten FH anything for Valentine's day. What do you get men? I don't think he really wants flowers.

What are you ladies getting for your men?

I think it is cute and that he may be flattered.

I have done it and Matt didn't seem to mind and everyone in his office thought it was cute
