Ist year anniversary ideas...UGH

Havent even thought of a gift and now knowing it is paper--maybe I will give him an IOU for when we have money--just kidding--we are going on a 10 day cruise for our anniversary so I guess that is our present--
I think the Mets tickets are a great idea---hmm..what else is on paper? with my luck Jeremy would say that a card is paper....

Ist year anniversary will be a bust...UGH

Since I'm due to have our first child just 3 weeks prior to our first anniversary, I guess the birth certificate will be hubby's 'paper' anniversary gift! Ha!

Actually, maybe some new matte finish photo paper for the printer, so he can make photos (of the baby) for the grandparents and aunts and uncles.

I am a little sad that I'll still be 'recovering' when our anniversary comes along this year...I've already warned him that it's not likely I'll be in the mood for romance.

We'll just have to do something special for year # 2!

Ist year anniversary will be a bust...NOT

I can't think of anything better than a baby for a first anniversary gift! I wish that was us!

We've already decided that our anniversary gift will be a BBQ (I guess the paper is the user's manual) We'll hopefully be in our new home by then, and figure we'll need a BBQ grill by Memorial Day, so we decided we'd make our gift be something we'd be spending money on anyway - not too romantic, but practical, and he suprises me with romance throughout the year, so it's OK with me...

Karen H - I didn't mean to sound ungrateful...

Of course, we are elated about the baby's impending (& God willing, healthy) arrival. We do feel blessed to become a 'family' so soon after our wedding.

All I meant was that our first anniversary will likely not be a 'romantic' time for us. Actually, we are hoping to plan an overnight trip sometime in Feb or March, before it becomes too risky for me to be away from the hospital/doctors. We'll see...

I wish you well, and hope that your marriage is blessed with many wonderful things. Congrats on the BBQ! I pray we can find an affordable house after the baby comes...

I didn't think you sounded the least bit ungrateful - I'm just jealous I'm not in your situation!!! I hope you're blessed with an easy delivery and healthy child.
