We are going away for our first anniversary!

I looked up B&Bs there-most of them were solidly booked for this coming weekend.
Finally prodded my DH enuf and he did some searching too and HE found the Columbian B& B Inn
which is an 1897 mansion.

will be staying in the Ladies parlour..
planning to see the watch museum..and tour the Nissley Winery. They have concerts there at night
We will drive down fri night and stay through monday...and do some outlet shopping on the way home.
I have also ordered some Reidel wine glasses and port glasses as a gift to Rob...and I snagged 2 tix to the yes concert at Jones Beach in August.
I just cnat believe it is actually happening..I guess if I push enuf things do happen.
now I know what I am in for- from this point on.

That's great - by the way, it takes awhile but I think the guys eventually catch on, so future anniversaries may not be as rough.
My Hubby could never see the point in wrapping gifts and I always had to make it really clear that I expected Christmas or Birthday gifts to be wrapped. It only took about 8 or 9 years but I've even started getting them with Bows on them and they show up under the Christmas tree in advance.
