It Only Happens Once Every Four Years .... And YOU'RE INVITED!!

.... to help me celebrate my 1/2 BIRTHDAY!!!!

Maybe DH will:

* Bake me a birthday cake (or buy one) but cut it in half and only serve that part. (see picture below!)

* Get me a half-dozen roses.

* Buy me a box of chocolates but eat half of them before he gives them to me ().

Every 4 years....Im confused

February 29 only happens every four years (kind of like the Olympics) It's something like it takes it takes the earth 365.25 days to rotate completely in one year. Every 4 years we have an extra day because that extra quarter of a rotation every year adds up to one day after 4 years. As you can see I learned so much from Bill Nye.

happy birthday Jess!! I get the whole leap year thing that its only once every 4 years, but why is it a half birthday? I guess I was thinking that let's say if you were 28 like me, this would be your '8th' birthday' that actually fell on the day you were born. I don't know why I'm so confused, it's been a long day!
