Not to drudge up old drama....but she did get back to me and there was alot more to the story than was said. I felt terrible and she was so hurt by how quickly she was judged so just wanted to let everyone know that not everyone really *****....sometimes people just say something in a stupid way. well unfortunately she should have just explained more of the story----we are not all mind readers on the internet. i will always assume what is presented is what it is....if she has more issues--that stinks. but she should have expressed it better.

maybe its cause i've been using the internet and chat boards and rooms for years---my cynical side is just too worn thru--i don't read something that clearly offends me and gives someone a benefit of the doubt and say 'well maybe there's more' but that's just me.

also... this post didn't really get into THAT... it was just mentioned and then we went off on american psycho tangents

I think you might have just opened a can o' drama here...

I don't care she was hurt by the judgment, what she was IMPLYING was extremely insensitive especially towards many of us who have *special needs* family members.

I understand there is MORE to the story... but the bottom line is she IMPLIED she didn't want to invite her sister's BF's kid ... who HAPPENS to be handicapped, to which SHE mentioned..

Yea whatever, it is what it is. It was really a matter of the way you read it and how a person wanted it to sound. It's in the past, just felt compelled to complete the story for everyone since she got back to me. She's considering posting an explanation and that's on her...not really my business. Just passing along the info to those who are interested.

honestly... i dont even remember her SN...

I tend to read things as they are WRITTEN.
to which she made it sound worse than it was (i guess..?)

because I still think its pretty awful and disrespectful to the parents to exclude one child out of a family simply b/c he is disruptive..ESPECIALLY if he is handicapped.

posting an explanation is not necessary b/c clearly she doesn't need our approval. was she misunderstood? perhaps... maybe this will be an eye opener on how you present yourself to people.

Can't agree there... I wasn't looking to read it any particular way, it was plain old-fashioned rude, and in her post she even asked:
'am I a *****' for wanting to exclude the child...

In a word: YES.

She seems to have worded her query PERFECTLY if you ask me.

I think its great that she felt comfortable FMing you, but you HAVEN'T completed the story, at least IMO...

That's fine if she wants to, fine if she doesn't really. My impression is that she doesn't actually like her sister's S.O., and is using the kid's disability as a passive aggressive knock at him/his child. I could be dead wrong of course, but somehow that's the impression I got from her post..

yup--i took it like that too...not just she doesn't like the kid....but she must not be a fan of the boyfriend. especially cause she mentiond how she 'loves her niece & nephew' -- the 2 kids she has with the boyfriend....but didn't seem to show any affection for the 3rd child or metnion that she cares for or loves the special needs child....since obviously its not biologically her nephew.

So then we went to that place by the water and the monkeys were all over the show. My dad was all I hate this episode and I can't wear slippers with that. The dogs allergic to that food anyway and it was 9pm so we put on some Michael Bolton and relaxed for the rest of the morning. I love when things work out even though they didn't really but yeah that happens to as long as my kids and grandkids are happy I'm happy.
