and I am wide awake. I just flew in from Italy last night and am still time screwed up. So, I figured since I haven't been on the board for a week. For anyone going to Italy it is beautiful! My friend and I (DH couldn't go ) went on a tour of Rome, Venice, and Florence. It is really an amazing place and the weather was beautifl. We kept hearing the news reports of all the snow and we were eating dinner outside! For anyone who ever plans to go, I would definitely recommend it. It is a beautiful place and the people are wonderful there!

Re: It's 6:22am...
I went on Trafalgar Tours. They have a bunch going to Italy. Ours was only 8 days because I only had off this past week. Like I said we went to Florence, Venice, Rome with stops in Siena and Pisa. It was very hectic but we got to see all the important sites in one week. We paid around 1200pp for the air fare, hotels, bus tour from place to place, breakfast every day, two dinners, and sightseeing tours in each place. It was definitely worth the money. The hotels were all very nice - clean and modern. My friend and I were actually afraid we would be the youngest people with a bunch of senior citizens but it turned out to be a mix of people. There were couples (young and middle aged), two families, two other groups of just friends, and some singles. It was definitely worth it. I had a blast. If you need any more info. let me know.

Lets see some photos!
We took a Trafalgar tour for our honeymoon and it was great! We never had to worry about anything b/c it was all taken care of for us!
What hotels did you stay in? Who was your tour guide?

The food was INCREDIBLE!!! We ate so much! The pizza is different there but it is still good and the pasta was great. They eat about 4/5 courses for dinner so it was constant food and wine - time for a diet.
I will try to post pics as soon as I get them.
Sonicstef- our tour guide was Marilena - wonderful! Our bus driver was Giovanni. We stayed at the Cristoforo Colombo Hotel in Rome, the Holiday Inn in Florence, and the Laguna Palace in Venice. It was definitely well worth it! I wonder if you had any of the same things - we were only on the 8 day tour!

How funny..we had marilena and giovanni too! They were great! (trafalgar is a big company so Im surprised we got the same people).
Did you have a lot of younger people (like 20-30s) in your tour? We had a pretty old set but we still had a great time.

I can't believe you had Marilena and Giovanni! She was great - we loved her accent. We had a mix of ages - most around 30- 50's. There was one family with a 6 year old, but no one very old. There were some single people, mostly couples - alot of people were teachers because we all on vacation. It was a good mix of people - lots of fun!
I didn't see the picture the first time - when I get my pictures I'll scan some!

I will try to make it one of my stops, I do not know how feasible it is. Good to hear you had a great time
