I went to Social Security today and changed my name. It was so weird to see DH's name added to mine. I must admit that I was sad because I am so used to my name. I am happy, though, that I did this. Now all I have left to do is contact the credit card companies.

Congrats--I felt the same way but after a short time it will feel like that you have had that name for a long time.

I went last week to the DMV, and SS. Changed my name on all my bills.
I think i am beginning to get used to the new name. although when i have to introduce myself my maiden name slips out

Congrats!! It has been almost a year for me, and I still sometimes say my maiden name. I hope that's normal...
