Jenn--and other self challengers

How's it going?
I'm off to a rough start this week. Today was my first workout since Sunday. Darn clocks really set me back. I couldn't peel myself out of bed the last two days--it's too dark. But I managed to drag myself there today. I did the 1st cardio routine, followed by 20 min on the bike.

Honey you're doing better than me! I have no seen a gym since Friday! Weeknds are hard cause I need Dh to drive me and he never wants to early in the morning and then i get unmotivated to go later in the day...The clocks have thrown me off somethign fierce. I was soo tired today I couldnt get out of bed so no gym again..I AM going tomorrow!!! You need to email em and give me a good shove.

I have been eating better though. I made htis hot bok choy sald-super simple and added shrimp to it and it was really good. Having it for lunch again today. Tonigth dinner I made yesterday; a cup of spinach raviolli with tossed with balsamic vinegar, black olives, chicken and cheese. It will also be tomorrow lunch-i cook with leftovers in mind. Breakfast is oatmeal and a banana. Snack has been half an apple with heaping tspoon of peanut butter.

I went to the gym on Saturday and kicked my own butt...according to the machines I burned close to 600 cal's which was really good. I haven't been back since then, though have been power walking around the halls here at work to get my heart rate up. we've been eating well too, so i think I'm generally ok, though not very faithful to the program. the chair exercise they just emailed looked good though!

Your meals sound yummy! I cooked a WW recipe on Monday night--chicken breast stuffed w/feta cheese and spinach. It was good! Last night I worked late, so I grabbed a turkey sandwich from subway. DH requested turkey burgers and baked sweet potatoes tonight--nice and easy.

You can do it tomorrow! When the alarm goes off, just think about how good you''ll feel afterwards. Or, how crappy you'll feel if you skip again (that's what got me out of bed today)!

Nice! Power walking through the halls is good. I try to remember that trick about walking to a co-workers desk, rather than emailing. I think I sit at my desk waaay too long.

We should rename this thread-so everyone can post what 'healthy' things they did each day--working out or eating well.
What should we call it? Healthy, Happy Newleyweds?

I think I am going to have my mouth wired shut. I was keeping up with this then I fell off the wagon and have been eating like it is my job. Today at a work event I had chocolate french toast and goats cheese french toast my arteries hate me.

Good for you getting out of bed. Going to the bed is not the most exciting thing ever send some of your will power my way

You can sign up at Self.com and click on Self Challenge. It explains the 3 cardio workouts you have to do and the quick weight training moves you do 2 times a week. There's also a nutrition part, but I do WW so don't follow that. The program runs 3 months and changes a little with each month. You can also grab the March issue which also explains everything. Let us know if you definitely sign up--nice to have another motivating buddy
