Julia Roberts and husband split up?

He left his first wife to be with Julia. What goes around...comes around.

I dont like these celebs who get married then split up right away. I was watching someting I think it was on MTV about the shortest celebrity marriages and i was totally disgusted. Some of these celebs make it seem like marriage is just a publicity thing and thats it. They get their name talked from every angel and then when the hype dies down, they get a divorce.

J.Lo, Elizabeth Taylor, Angelina Jolle, Billy Bob Thorton, and a few others I cant think of right now just make it seem that marriage is all a game.

She was married?? She's totally a real-life runaway bride....hasn't she been married and divorced a couple of times?

she got married last 4th of july...they had a party...but didn't tell anyone that it was a wedding...until at 12 midnight they changed and told everyone...


I'm so not shocked...I don't think she really knows what she wants...


Chippa, I agree with you...but while we have 1-3 year engagements...there is a lot of pressure from the press to set a date...like with JLo and Ben Afflack...even the Bachelors....nobody (well not so many people) question 'regular' brides when they wait a year or more...why should celebrities be different?...maybe b/c they can get any room they want...and don't have the financial issues we have

OMG - I had no idea she was even remarried. I really think that too many famous ppl don't take marriage that seriously anymore.....I guess it's just too tempting to be surrounded by rich beautiful people everywhere you turn?!

yabbobay very true about celebs always being in the spotlight to set a date.

In a way I do feel bad for celebs. A girl I used to work with is a singer and she is a huge hit in Europe and her home town of Dublin. In the US no one knows her. She loves being in the US only because she can go out when she wants, live a 'normal' life and not have to worry about her appearance or anything.

In Europe she cant even walk out her door with out having screaming fans, constant interviews with magazines and newspapers, tours, concerts, appearances, and she always has to watch what she eats, where she eats, and how she dresses.

I would rather have a nice normal life in my little apartment in Queens rather then be around all that glitz and glamour.

Typical Hollywood marriage.

I met him in real life once - what a beautiful man. Sigh.

Rachel: I think it was one of those rumors that was said and everyone believed it. She and Bratt were together for 4 years so it was most likely a rumor that everyone believed to be true. I could have sworn I did read somewhere though that he did propose.

THE Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts and her actor boyfriend, Benjamin Bratt, who were thought to be on the brink of marriage this year, have ended their four-year relationship. “It’s true, they are no longer together,” Ina Trakiosis, Bratt’s spokesman, told the New York Daily News. Roberts’s spokesman would say only that no one else was involved in the break-up.

In February Roberts had told a magazine: “We’re drunk with joy 24 hours of the day. We’re sickening, we’re ecstatically happy. I’m happier than I’ve ever been in my life.” She is now said to be distraught. A friend told the New York Post: “She’s having a very, very hard time with this.”

Bratt’s friends said that he had tired of Roberts’s reluctance to marry. “He had been trying for years to get her to commit to marriage,” an unnamed source told the Daily News. “They’d been back and forth on it. He finally had enough.”

Bratt, 37, who has appeared in Traffic, Miss Congeniality and The Next Best Thing, also apparently felt that he was living in the shadow of the star, who is Hollywood’s highest paid actress, earning more than $20 million (£14 million) a film. The timing could scarcely be worse for Roberts, 33, who is in the middle of promoting her latest film, America’s Sweethearts. It is about a press agent who must deal with the messy break-up of two stars — John Cusack and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Roberts plays Zeta-Jones’s sister.

The end of the relationship is the latest in a long line for Roberts. She broke up with Kiefer Sutherland in 1991. She married Lyle Lovett in 1995, but they separated less than two years later.

She was later involved with Liam Neeson, Daniel Day-Lewis and the Friends star Matthew Perry.
