Just booked a cruise!!!

Just booked a cruise!!!

We are leaving out of NY on July 17th! We will be in Port Canaveral (Near Orlando) on July 19th which is our 1 year anniversary! Im hoping to go to Island of Adventure in Universal Studios that day! Then will be in the Bahamas for 2 days(2 different islands)and I think we get 3 days at sea! Neither of us have cruised before so we are very excited!!!!!

Woohooo Congrats!!! You're going to be hooked... One suggestion though... If you dont know if either of you get sea sick, buy Bonine and take it along with you... I take 1 before I get on the ship... and then 1 each morning of the cruise... Its really the best... Doesnt make you drowsy and having drinks with it seems to be okay... at least in my experience...

I take 1 before I get on the ship... and then 1 each morning of the cruise... Its really the best... Doesnt make you drowsy and having drinks with it seems to be okay... at least in my experience...

I know I get sea sick on our boat so i definitley will get something! Is this over the counter?

Yep... you can pick it up at any drugstore, walmart, etc

The motion on a ship is very weird... its a very slow side to side movement which can really throw off your equilibrium... I have an equil prob to begin with so it seems to affect me much more than DH

We looked at that one too!!! When do you leave?

not exactly sure, but pretty sure its july 18-25 and we are leaving from new york! or wait maybe its the week after??? yeah scratch that its the 25-to august 1st! lol

Ok great! Thanks! I'll definitley pick some up otherwise I'd be sick the whole time! I get motion sick pretty much on everything....car, plane, small boats....so Im sure Id be sick on a cruise too

dramamine is good too! i dont get sea sick, but sometimes i get a little light headed, so i just pop on of those every morning so i dont ever feel like that.
