Just booked flights back to Long Island!

I am so excitied! I miss Long Island so much and my parents are selling their home in a few months so this will be one of my last trips back.
I fly home on the 25th and then leave on the 30th and my husband was only able to get leave from the 27th to the 30th so he is going to fly into NY spend the holiday at my parents and then rent a car and head off to his parents mountain house near the poconos for the start of hunting season (they have some wierd men weekend up there) and then he will fly out of Philly and I'll fly out of LGA and we will meet in Houston and fly into Corpus together.. (yup, a bit insane but its the best we could do!)

I am so depressed over not having fall, so this trip should help a ton. Corpus is nice but it is still in the 90's with insane humidity and it's my head thinks its wierd that I was in the Gulf of Mexico today and it wasen't cold at all..

So, if anyone is free that week or that weekend. I'll be up there w/o a dh.

I just went back last weekend...and the trees were green the temp was in the 60s-70s...so I was a bit disappointed that I didn't get to experience fall... I hope you have a better experience...

DH and I were laughing today when we complained of the temperature (80s) then thought about NY...although I wish the water temp was warmer here...I have to do a triathlon tomorrow and the ocean temp is 65!! Brrrrrrr
