After an insane amount of research, we decided to save London and Paris for after Christmas and go to Aruba this summer. Since we had terrible weather on our honeymoon, we're calling this our do-over honeymoon! We're going from Sunday August 8th until Saturday August 14th and we're staying at the Westin Aruba. We decided not to get all inclusive since so many people were telling us how awesome Aruba is for different restaurants. We do get breakfast included at our hotel and we also get a $100 credit for a meal. I'm so excited! Summer can't get here fast enough!!!!!!
Now, people who have gone to Aruba....restaurant/activity recommendations please

100% kukoo kunuku!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If i knew how great it was before our first time, i would have booked with them twice for 1 week!!!!! Dont bother with the boat tour they host as well, it wasnt that great...
ATV tour to the natural pool was amazing! def a must if you guys are into that
el gaucho if you're steak eaters... the meat was soooo fresh and cooked to perfection!!
flying fishbone i didnt think the food was that great for the priciness of it... you pay more for the ambiance of siting at a table on the sand watching the sunset

Yes Kuku Kunukoo bus tour - 1/2 day Jeep tour We also did the submarine tour & of course snorkeling.
Restaurants Texas de Brazil (go hungry) Screaming Eagle Madame Jeanettes great atmosphere food is pretty good. El Gaucho's

I've never been anywhere like that but it sounds so fun! I'm trying to convince DH to go to the beach somewhere for our anniversary, but we'll probably just head to the beach in NC which is gorgeous and convenient for a weekend trip.

definitely do the ATV tour to the natural pool...so much fun. We also did snorkeling, it was gorgeous!
Restaurants...My fav was El Gaucho.
You're gonna love it, it's so beautiful and romantic there.

Oh and rent a car... Cabs cost too damn much to travel from hotel to restaurant/sites etc... And once you do that, go straight to Baby Beach... Its at the furthest eastern point on the island and its gorgeous!!! The water is simply amazing and you will see soo many diff kinds of fish... Bring something to feed the fish and they will eat right out of your hand... We brought pretzels... others bring cereal and it was a really fun experience!
ETA: Buy snorkel gear beforehand if you dont already have... You can just hop from beach to beach (they are all public) and go snorkling whereever you like without worrying about having to rent equipment

agree with this totally!! kukoo was the best night out!!!! soooo much fun!!!
atv's were awesome...wear your bathingsuit, we didnt know that they let you swim in the natural pool so when we got there and was totally covered in dirt, we swam in our undies!!! LOL!!
and flying fishbone awesome!! make a reservation when you get there so that you can reserve a table on the water! out table was on the sand and our feeties were in the water as we ate! stayed for the sunset its the most romantic place!!
we also ate at from texas to brazil..or something like that! it was really good, but make sure you are hungry cuz you will eat a ton!!!

DH and I went to Europe end of Sept/beginning of October. We booked a Globus Tour. I've always booked my own trips and planned everything. Was pretty skeptical about it. It was the best thing ever. It was a guided bus tour. They take your bags up to the room, set your wake up calls, take your bags back down to the bus, etc. You have someone who will tell you everything and anything you need to know and you meet great people. We are actually going to Alaska with a couple we met on the trip. Anyway, I highly suggest trying a tour group. Look to see what might be available when you decide to do your London trip.
