Just came back from photographer

We did it! We picked all our photos and our portraits! And the best part is.... we got the DIGITAL ALBUM. I didn't think DH would be into paying all the extra $$$ but once I saw it, I had to have it. Especially since we don't have a video I thought it was necessary to have something so special. We picked out all the pictures we loved and talked about lay-out ideas- it's going to be so nice.

My photographer is Autumn Lin at Photo Zone in Brooklyn. She was a great find. I know a lot of the people on these boards all use the same 5 or 10 photographers but I have to say that Autumn is amazing and less expensive AND the sweetest girl. A lot of people came up to me after the wedding and said, 'your photographer is so nice.... she wasn't intrusive at all.'...

She's on 5th ave in Bay Ridge (by Kleinfeld's). It was a little out of the way since 1) I'm not from Brooklyn and 2) We got married in Bethpage. But- she was well worth it- I went to college with her- she has a BFA in Photography and is young and has a 'fresh' eye (she's about 27).

I don't know what kind of digital album (i didn't know there were kinds). All I know is that we discussed different lay outs and it will have the words to our first dance and our readings and stuff like that in it..

What do you mean by what kind?

You are so much better than this than me SonicStef...

I don't really know the brand that we are doing- it's who ever my photographer goes with- we saw 3 or 4 samples of the work that this company did. We pretty much discussed the front, the back, and some internal layouts- otherwise I fully trust my photographer!

I still have my regular scrap book to do- that's waiting till summer though.

Ok thanks - just curious. Love to see some photos when its all done.

Im too much a control freak to let anyone have full control of the layout. Its a curse! But its fun for me to do too so it works both ways.

My DH wanted to do the Digital Album ... it's very cool. We didn't do it because our photographer was not working with us on # of images. It was frustrating and I didn't want to give them anymore $$$.

I wasn't going to shell out the money either- but my photographer is giving it to me at cost because 1) she is college friend of mine, 2) I have gotten her 2 more weddings so far so she knows if she gives it to me I'll show everyone & she'll get business.

I really don't know so much about the layout- I pretty much gave her ideas of what I want. I know we will have between 80-100 photos incorporated into it.

We looked over the proofs together a gazillion times- the ones I like, she likes- so I know it will be great!
