So on Sunday morning i wake up puking and with horrible somach pains, turns out I caught the stomach virus that is going aroun . Turns out I had it so bad that DH had to take me to the E.R. last night and they told me I was dehydrated. If that is not bad enough, I am terrified of needles so when they were trying to get my blood work they couldnt find a vein not even to put the i.v. in. Granted I know that I am a 'woman' but I was begging the nurse to please be gentle asking her if she has any kids to pretend that I was one of them. It definitely was a horrible experience but I am out of the hospital and slowly but surely starting to feel better. Back to the office tommorrow. Everyone please take care of yourselves and wash your hands a trillion tiimes a day since this is going around.
PS- Oh yeah Icing on the cake was my doctor was a resident which wanted to blame this on me being an alchocolic or pregnancy so every other word from me to him was ...'no, I am not pregnant, yes I am sure I am not pregnant and No, I do not binge drink, at the most I have 2 glasses of wine when I go out' Now I can look back at it and laugh but I wanted to strangle him with the i.v.

Ugh, I hate needles too so I totally feel for you. Glad to hear your feeling a little better though.

Word to the wise: don't go to the hospital in July, that's when NEW residents start!!!
